Jesus the Christ and Paulian Doctrine: Christianity

alien / demonic attachment

Christians, faithful and devout, parrot an official Church doctrine that is counter to Christ's original message.

As a Jew, Christ was never alone in his total devotion to God.

Many such uncounted Jewish martyrs surely do dot history, each most divine in his own way.

Thus, rather than Jesus being alone in his missive towards loving God and loving others,
He is historically surrounded by many such devout, Godly others, who were meanly  sacrificed ; just look at the Holocaust in which many millions of deeply religious Jews were exterminated.

Religion has done much harm:

-most wars in the world

- the Crusades

-The Inquisition

-911

-arranged marriages to minors

-The underpinning condoning of The Holocaust

-blowing up of girl's schools

-suppression of women and homosexuals

-human sacrifices

-the burning of witches

-condoning slavery

-systematic molestation of church children

-honor rapes

-ethnic cleansing

-the condemnation /prohibitions of condoms in HIV prevalent world areas

-abortion prohibition of rape victims and preteen moms

-prohibition of stem cell research

just to name a few.........

How did the Church stray far from Christ's original missive and message?

The Church should never have accepted Paulian interpretations.

Paulian erroneous concepts formulated a religious Doctrine which became worse than silly in its premise that Jesus WAS God.

It preached that a man could do what he wanted and not face the inevitable consequences of his actions, provided that at the end of the day, he said: “I believe in Christ”.

Paul’s doctrines of redemption and atonement are utterly fallacious;

Mary, mother of Jesus was regarded as the “mother of God”.

Jesus pointed to God but Paul just stared at his pointing finger and mistook the holy message.

The theory of redemption was also the child of Paul’s brain, a belief entirely unknown to Jesus and his disciples.

It was based on the belief of “original sin”, the “crucifixion” and the “resurrection”, none of which has any validity to Christ's authentic and original premises.

A synthetic religion was produced.

Pauline silliness became the foundation of Christian orthodoxy and the legitimate church established by Jesus was disowned as heretical.

Paul's writings, teachings are radically different from the original teachings of Jesus documented in the canonical gospels, early Acts and the rest of the New Testament, such as the Epistle of James.

I include quotes from brilliant others to support my thesis statement:

Christ or Paul?, by Rev.
May those who love us love us, and those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts, and if He cannot turn their hearts may He turn their ankles that we may know them by their limping. ~Irish Prayer
V.A. Holmes-Gore:

"Let the reader contrast the true Christian standard with that of Paul and he will see the terrible betrayal of all that the Master taught. . . . For the surest way to betray a great Teacher is to misrepresent his message. . . . That is what Paul and his followers did, and because the Church has followed Paul in his error it has failed lamentably to redeem the world. . . . The teachings given by the blessed Master Christ, which the disciples John and Peter and James, the brother of the Master, tried in vain to defend and preserve intact were as utterly opposed to the Pauline Gospel as the light is opposed to the darkness."

The great theologian Soren Kierkegaard, in The Journals:

"In the teachings of Christ, religion is completely present tense: Jesus is the prototype and our task is to imitate him, become a disciple. But then through Paul came a basic alteration. Paul draws attention away from imitating Christ and fixes attention on the death of Christ The Atoner. What Martin Luther, in his reformation, failed to realize is that even before Catholicism, Christianity had become degenerate at the hands of Paul. Paul made Christianity the religion of Paul, not of Christ. Paul threw the Christianity of Christ away, completely turning it upside down, making it just the opposite of the original proclamation of Christ"

The brilliant theologian Ernest Renan, in his book Saint Paul:

"True Christianity, which will last forever, comes from the gospel words of Christ not from the epistles of Paul. The writings of Paul have been a danger and a hidden rock, the causes of the principal defects of Christian theology."

Will Durant, in his Caesar and Christ:

"Paul created a theology of which none but the vaguest warrants can be found in the words of Christ. . . . Through these interpretations Paul could neglect the actual life and sayings of Jesus, which he had not directly known. . . . Paul replaced conduct with creed as the test of virtue. It was a tragic change."

Robert Frost, winner of the Pulitzer prize for poetry in 1924,1931,1937 and 1943, in his "A Masque of Mercy":

"Paul he's in the Bible too. He is the fellow who theologized Christ almost out of Christianity. Look out for him."

James Baldwin, the most noted black American author of this century, in his book The Fire Next Time:

"The real architect of the Christian church was not the disreputable, sunbaked Hebrew (Jesus Christ) who gave it its name but rather the mercilessly fanatical and self-righteous Paul."

Martin Buber, the most respected Jewish philosopher of this century, in Two Types of Faith:

"The Jesus of the Sermon on the Mount is completely opposed to Paul."

The famous mystic, poet and author, Kahlil Gibran, in Jesus the Son of Man:

"This Paul is indeed a strange man. His soul is not the soul of a free man. He speaks not of Jesus nor does he repeat His Words. He would strike with his own hammer upon the anvil in the Name of One whom he does not know."

The famous theologian, Helmut Koester, in his The Theological Aspects of Primitive Christian Heresy:

"Paul himself stands in the twilight zone of heresy. In reading Paul, one immediately encounters a major difficulty. Whatever Jesus had preached did not become the content of the missionary proclamation of Paul. . . . Sayings of Jesus do not play a role in Paul 's understanding of the event of salvation. . . . Paul did not care at all what Jesus had said. . . . Had Paul been completely successful very little of the sayings of Jesus would have survived."

Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States and author of the Declaration of Independence in his "Letter to William Short":

"Paul was the first corrupter of the doctrines of Jesus."

Yet I do wear a cross to celebrate Christ's original messages.

Why do I wear a cross?

Crucifixion was a standard Roman execution device for many tens of thousands; wearing a cross is like wearing a tiny electric chair around your neck.

Surely, if Jesus returned, the LAST thing he'd want to see would be a cross.

I therefore prefer to see the cross as a symbolic metaphor of God's intersection with man.

Chist's message is echoed throughout history and

His message is virtually precisely the same as Mother Theresa's or Gandhi's message, the same as multitudes of others, who were also very spiritually elevated souls.

To many minds, the Church became a vehicle as an antithesis to Christ;

when the Pope and other Christians insisted on Inquisitions to murder nonbelievers, the Church became insupportable, discredited and moot as
Christ's message was completely mangled and lost.

Paulian interpretations send the Church into a singular fallacy that remains official doctrine which is parroted by millions of unthinking yet devout Christians.

The Church's premise that God visited this one planet amidst trillions of other planets just to become a man to be killed and to save us from our sins, is worse than silly and asinine and has surely proven historically worse than a most dangerous idea.

The clear evidence of Jesus' non resurrection from death is within the gospel, itself.

When Jesus insisted to his disciples that He was indeed still alive, He offered them proof of His physical survival by asking them to place their fingers into the holes drilled into his hands; these were physical human hands, not spiritual ghostly hands.

He then sat and ate and drank with them in celebration; ghosts, however holy, do not eat or drink; eating is done by people who are alive; drinking is also done by the living.

Surely, if Jesus returned, the LAST thing he'd want to see would be a cross.

There is much irefutable evidence that when Jesus met with Pilate, who found him charming and blameless, Pilate contrived a soon before Sabbath pseudo crucifixion to appease rampant Jews and lent his own personal physicians to restore Jesus, who then, et al, escaped to France, where no religiously crazed Hebrews resided.

Many churches there are devoted to Mary Magdalene, who preached there and these churches were established in her name many years before Christianity took root as a religion.

It is opined that he died there after living well into his eighties. This evidence completely refutes his death from crucifixion but however does not refute his innate divinity.

He must be very sad, in Heaven, to see a bizarre and distorted religion established in His name, morbidly focused on agony, on a cross, as a formal centerpiece.

Paul's odd ideas did indeed approach Roman values but he totally altered Christ's message to include distasteful and alien religious concepts of original sin, guilt, and more oddly of redemption, ersatz spiritual fictions, that Jesus never once did espouse.

Other than that, Christ's 'message' (He left no written record of what he actually said) is indeed most valuable.

To accept Christ yet refuse to accept Paulian silly formal Church doctrine is indeed as revolutionary as Christ was.

Paulian concepts have thus altered Christ's message into a formalized mythical Christian religion with totally unacceptable  premises and un Christlike missives.

I think that Christ, a Jew, came to free the ancient world and Judaism, itself, from those harsh, uncompromising Old Testament Hebrew "laws", but recently evolved 20th century fundamentalist Christians, have clung tooth and nail to those beliefs, confounding and vexing Jews to an extreme.

"Jesus pointed to God but Paul just stared at his pointing finger and mistook the holy message."

"wearing a cross is like wearing a tiny electric chair around your neck." - Ditto.

Somewhere the true message got lost and people are just repeating texts without understanding their true nature. Only time will teach everybody a lesson. The ones who are sleeping can be woken up somehow. What do you do with the ones who are pretending to be asleep when they are awake?

I have also agonized with your question of sleepwalkers within the context of persistent alien visitation and alien abductions and the quandary of how precisely to awaken them; however, the pail and the thimble are both full and one must not judge the thimble.

Haven't judged the thimble at all. :-) Just said, that there are people who know they are making mistakes but want to continue to make mistakes (not hinting at you). I mean misusing religion for selfish motives.

There are mentions that Christ escaped to India and died in Kashmir. Many possibilities are there. But what does the true word of God needed for enlightenment say? It hasn't been interpreted yet by many parrots.

Fantastic article Paul, and I can see your point here. Christianity has had it meaning and purpose altered so many times that very few people see the original meaning and purpose of it. So many people, through out time, have altered it to fit their purposes.

Great article! Thought provoking and well written
