I like to think that Jesus of Nazareth, the Chosen One, and Mother Teresa are now in close concert together in Heaven working to continue their missions of love for us on Earth.
Mother Teresa taught us lessons so closely aligned with Christ's messages that I cannot but strongly feel that she is by His side also as an 'anointed one'.
As a very young woman, she discovered a dying woman who was alone on the feral streets of Calcutta, India.
She remained with her, holding her hand, praying for her and comforting her until that woman finally perished. That core experience changed her life; she took an oath to accept a calling to help those in similar desperate need.
Mother Teresa received the award of the Nobel Peace Prize after a lifetime of more than forty-six years of solacing the unwanted, embracing the unloved, the dying and the desperately poor.
It was often reputed that her inspiration and philosophy was summed up, fostered and aligned by a prayer that she carried with her and kept on her wall.
"People are often unreasonable, irrational and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you.Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway."

Mother Teresa was an amazing woman. I suggest we all print off the prayer and read it often. It comes down to doing the right thing, no matter how difficult , whether anyone is watching or not. Because like the prayer says, in the end it's between you and God. Nice to have you back Paul. Great article to start with! Please log in to respond to this comment.
